Boulogne Calais Port

Storage & logistics

Boulogne Calais Port, a benchmark facility in Europe in controlled-temperature flow management.

The Port of Boulogne-sur-Mer is THE hub for fish landing and shipping in Europe. It is served by the leading European transport operators, and most French refrigerated fish transporters have their own platform there.

330,000 tonnes of fish and seafood products are imported to Boulogne-sur-Mer each year from all over the world, and especially from northern European countries: Denmark, Norway, Ireland, Iceland, the Netherlands, etc. to be then redistributed throughout France and to Spain and Italy in less than 24 hours.

Thanks to its fish-market road terminal coupled to transport platforms, Boulogne has exemplary procurement and distribution logistics.

These optimal conditions ensure smooth, efficient logistics for the facility

An exceptional cold storage capacity

Boulogne-sur-Mer has a substantial cold storage capacity, covering an area of 300,000 m3. These warehouses, public and private, can provide storage for up to 65,000 pallets.

Some warehouses are under customs control, and various goods can transit via the port terminal in optimal conditions. Transit takes place on a 24/24 7/7 basis.

Boulogne-sur-Mer also has efficient procurement and distribution logistics, with a fish-market road terminal and private transport platforms for daily deliveries throughout Europe.
